Issue RMA numbers for your customer returns and then receive them back into inventory.  Decide on the appropriate inventory, customer, or vendor action to take.  Print an Open RMA report to always know what is coming back.  You can even enable the optimal setting to only allow returns if the product has been previously shipped.
