Only one module in Sage 100 (formerly known as Sage MAS 90 and 200) dissects through almost all of the other modules to make recommendations and that is the Sage 100 Materials Requirements Planning (MRP) module.

Used by planners and production leaders alike, MRP accepts forecasts by item, by warehouse, or by customers. Inventory personnel can rely on MRP to help eliminate costly inventory errors and scheduling problems. It is used to speed up the processes of purchasing, inventory, and production managers, enabling them to work more efficiently.

The key task in MRP is the MRP Generation. Run it once a night or ten times per day. It slices through the work orders, bill of materials, inventory reorder data, purchase orders, and sales orders. Then it makes recommendations such as pull in a work order, build item 123, or buy product 456.

The only module that analyzes most of Sage 100’s (formerly known as Sage ERP MAS 90 and 200) modules during a generation process is Material Requirements Planning  (MRP).    As it looks at supply from Purchase Orders and other Work Orders and demand from Sales Orders, forecasts, and other Work Orders, MRP also evaluates its decisions based on vendor lead times, reorder points and EOQ, and ultimately makes recommendations to build or buy products. It also recommends pulling in and pushing out orders.

The MRP module is one of the most powerful modules of Sage 100 and completes either a distribution or a manufacturing solution.

Standard reports include:

  • MRP Report
  • Action by Vendor Report
  • MRP by Job Report
  • Projected Demands Report
  • Work Order History Report

Complete your Sage 100 distribution and manufacturing solution with the Sage 100 MRP module.
